The Heart of My Work

Belinda Lauer

MSSA, LISW-S

"The relationship is the medicine — everything else grows from there."

Listen to a welcome

A short note, in Belinda's words

For over twenty years, I've sat with people through the moments that ask the most of them — when the patterns you've carried finally feel unbearable, or when the quiet belief that nothing will ever change sits heavier than it used to. Most of the people who find me come when they're done feeling uncomfortable in their own lives, and ready to meet themselves differently.

My work draws on AEDP, Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Eye Movement Integration, and Hypnotherapy — each offering a different lens on the same human struggle. I tailor the approach to where you are and what feels most distressing right now, so the work moves at a pace that's both honest and sustainable. Above all, I'm passionate about restoring relationships — to yourself, and to the people who matter most.

I believe healing happens in relationship. My style is warm and interpersonal: safe and compassionate, but willing to gently challenge the patterns that keep you stuck. Together, we become co-creators of a new story about who you are.

I received my MSSA from Case Western Reserve University. I work with individuals (adolescents and adults) and couples.
